We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Data Governance II to join our Data Governance team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA in a Hybrid work environment.
About the Team:
The Data, Analytics, Reporting, and Transformation (DART) team drives more effective risk management across Risk & Compliance and the wider enterprise through consistent data, advanced analytics, and insightful and timely reporting. Further, DART enables continuous and forward-looking risk management capabilities, executing proactive and effective risk management, and enabling risk intelligent strategic decision making. This role is within the DART Governance & Change Management team. You will play the role of Data Steward and partner with stakeholders across various teams to assist with Data Governance. Data Stewards partner with data consumers and producers to:
• facilitate data contract creation and authoring Authoritative Datasets (ADS);
• drive research and resolution for data issues;
• develop strong relationships with line-of-business points of contact and technology partners;
• serve as a primary resource for management and oversight of data definition in EDM-defined toolsets (e.g., Collibra);
• perform data lineage mapping;
• manage the associated issue management processes;
• implement/perform data quality definition, testing and validation; all within the bank’s enterprise data management policies and standards.
• This role will work across teams to ensure our data standards are accomplished within defined time frames, owning the quality of the data content.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Independently work with internal and external datasets and assist in the data sourcing and mapping for various reporting solutions
• Provide project management support for Data Governance Book of Work items
• Ensure data lineage is accurately depicted in authoritative datasets (ADS)
• Support and document data issues as encountered
• Gather and maintain data quality requirements
• Ensures milestones and deliverables are met, including completed and high-quality content
• Analyze data to prepare summaries related to key outcomes (e.g., metrics, trend analysis, supporting commentary, etc.)
• Create and maintain associated procedures
• Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work; contributes to the achievement of area goals
• Translates complex technical concepts and analyses to non-technical audiences
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 7-10 years' experience in compliance, risk management, finance and/or banking technology, risk and/or compliance data is preferred.
• Superior analytical skills and ability to assess across large data sets to synthesize, validate, and analyze data and metrics in necessary.
• Technical proficiency with Excel, JIRA, MS Word, MS PowerPoint is needed. Technical skills in any of the following are helpful: Python, SQL, VBA, Collibra, Alteryx, Pentaho, Solidatus, and DCAM
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to work closely with various businesses / functions.
• A successful person in this role will be Pro-active, have high quality standards for accuracy and thoroughness, have an ability to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, possess strong organizational skills and a keen aptitude for detail while working in a global team.
